Mi-Hi Charters has been running jet divers and spoons for several seasons and have had countless clients complain about the extra fight the diver puts into the fish especially, smaller fish like silver bass, white perch, small walleye, etc.  To make our clients have a quality-fishing trip, Captain Steve Martin and First Mate Jim Chamberlin has been working on adding a release system to the Jet Divers so that our clients are not fighting the jet but the fish.   In this process we tested the models that are currently on the market, and have found that they release well but most defeat the purpose of the jet by sinking it, affecting the dive curve, adding new action and creating unnecessary tangles.

Our goal in adding a release system to the Jet Divers is to not interfere with the action, dive curve and to lessen the amount of tangles we encounter.  Our system includes a small plastic downrigger clip and a release leader that we have tweaked into perfection.
