In September of 2000 I founded LakeErieSportFishing.com. It was originally developed to help charter clients find hotels, restaurants, etc. The idea came when I was working as a mate for Hollywood Charters and saw that our clients had a hard time finding a good resource to plan the rest of their trip. And it began, the development of LakeErieSportFishing.com.

When the website first began, I was looking for a catchy domain name. I thought about it for days and then it came to me, I see “Lake Erie Sport Fishing” on nearly every charter advertisement so, I tried it, and to my surprise, it was available! The theme for the site was simplicity. So I thought lets make a charter advertisement, and then reference all of the hotels and restaurants and other attractions in the area and call it good.

The first four seasons LakeErieSportFishing.com transitioned from a free advertisement for our charter clients to one of the largest charter resources on the web. We added some great information on how to select a charter boat and we listed the boats in their respective port. This simple idea has continued to blossom year after year and has made a fantastic transition from a complete advertisement to an informational powerhouse. Blending relevant advertisements with the information you need to consistently put fish in the net! We still promote the great charter boats and attractions in the area and, we have started sharing many of the secrets that have made our nets dip time after time.
